प्रजा कवि नाम से प्रसिद्ध एड्गर अल्बर्ट गेस्ट ने सभी से आसानी से पढ़ने योग्य कविताएँ 30 साल, रोज एक कविता के हिसाब से लिखीं । उन्होंने बताया कि मैंने दैनंदिन जीवन में घटित छोटी-छोटी घटना ओं से प्राप्त अनुभवों को कविताओं के रूप मे बुना । प्रस्तुत पाठ्यांश ‘आके बढ़ते रहो’ – keep going’ ने दुनिया भर में प्रेरणात्मक कविता के रूप में नाम पाया । ‘बढ़े चलो बढ़े चलो’ – आवाज देते, प्रयाण – गीत की गति में दौड़ता हुआ आगे बढ़ती है जोश से यह कविता । थके हुए, गिर गए लोगों को भी दोड़ाती है यह कविता ।

हमने देखा कि और एक मिनट कोशिरा करे तो होनेवाली विजय पराजय में बदलती है। ऐसे समय में, मंदगति हो सकती है, पर और एक पराजय विजय प्रदान कर सकती है । कमजोर को गम्य दूर लग सकता है, लेकिन वह गम्य नजदीक से सकता है । कई बार वह विजय पाने के बजाय, छोडेने के कारण पराजय की गाट मे गिर जाता है । यह बिषय देश्में जानता है । की मैं विजय लक्मी की सीमारेखा तक लौट आया ।
विजय का मतलब पराजय को पलट देना ही है । वह संदेह रूपी काले बादल की आशा रूपी रजित सौदामिनी है । तुम नहीं कह सकते कि तुम विजय के कितने विकट गए हो नजदीक पहुँचने पर नजदीक में दूर का आभास होता है । वास्तव में वह विजय विकट्स्य ही है । जब तुमको गंभीर आघात पहुँचता है, तब मुँह मत मोड़ो, उलटे पाँव मत फिरो । परिस्थितियाँ बहुत बुरी लगने पर भी तुम प्रयत्न को मत छोड़ना । उसे कसकर पकड़ना चाहिए ।
